Anne Whelan, originally from Placentia, is the CEO of Seafair Capital lnc., a Newfoundland based company that includes a number of businesses including home-care, restaurants and much more. Anne is a chair on the board of the Bank of Canada, CSA Group, and Newfoundland Power. She was named Entrepreneur of the year by Startup Canada in 2017 and CEO of the year by Atlantic Business Magazine in 2014. In 2016, She was nominated as one of the 100 Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN).

Anne Whelan shares her journey from a business owner of her mother’s small home care agency to the CEO of Seafair Capital. Anne hopes that younger generations become involved with government and become engaged citizens.
